Oak Leaf Carved Vase

I look to nature for inspiration in my design work. Here I have pierced out the background on a decorative band of oak leaves. I enjoy carving leatherhard clay, sculpting it to create some dimension on the leaves and acorns, so they don’t look merely drawn on the piece.
